Educational Scholarship
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Iota Sigma Chapter, is an organization of women bound
together in thought and effort toward common goals. One of our goals is to motivate youth toward greater achievement-academically, socially and vocationally. It is in the spirit of service and through our
commitment to education that we are awarding an Educational Scholarship to a deserving high school
senior who will be enrolling at an accredited college or university for the upcoming fall semester. All
information is confidential and will only be used to determine Scholarship eligibility and need.

It is my extreme pleasure to welcome International Officers, Sorors, Affiliates, family, friends and visitors. I bring you greetings on behalf of Eta Iota Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporate, Chevy Chase, MD.
The standards of sisterhood and strengths of Sigma have endured over time within Eta Iota Sigma Chapter’s dedication toward the principles of our founders. We stand firm in our commitment of service to our community through sisterhood, scholarship and service.
Eta Iota Sigma’s vision has been focused on membership development, community relations and promoting Sigma! It is my hope while visiting our website you will find valuable resources and information about our illustrious chapter, organization and the community we serve, Montgomery County, Maryland.
We continue to support our National endeavors through the March of Dimes Project Reassurance, Youth Symposium, and Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns as well as our participation in several local endeavors including Project Giveback Thanksgiving Food Distribution, the Senior Initiative and our annual scholarship program.
The Ladies of Eta Iota Sigma are determined and committed to serve human kind in a positive manner and to let our actions reflect our commitment to Greater Service, Greater Progress.”
